This Privacy Policy explains what information Jumproo ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to your use of our website and services.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, profile image, and country, provided when you sign up (including via Google sign-in).
• Resume and career content — when you are signed in and use our analysis or building tools, we store a parsed version of your resume (such as your name, contact details, work experience, education, and skills) and your generated documents, so we can power features like saved profiles, job matching, and re-use across sessions.
• Analysis results — we may cache the results of an analysis (including the extracted profile) to speed up the service and provide job matches.
• Billing information — subscription plan, status, and identifiers from our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number, CVV, or card billing address — those are handled directly by Stripe.
• Usage data — activity logs, feature usage, token usage, and performance metrics used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Communications — your email preferences and our record of emails we have sent you (welcome, job alerts, reminders).

Anonymous (logged-out) use

If you use a free tool without an account, your uploaded document is parsed in your browser and the extracted text is sent to our server only to generate your result. In that case the text is processed in memory and is not saved to a resume profile on our servers. Once you create an account or sign in, the storage practices described above apply.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service
• To generate AI analysis, tailored resumes, cover letters, and job matches
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send service and job-related emails (you can unsubscribe from non-essential emails)
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
• To comply with legal obligations

AI processing

To generate analysis and content, the relevant text from your resume and job descriptions is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. We send only what is needed to produce your result. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your resume content to train third-party models.

Service providers (sub-processors)

We share data with trusted providers only as needed to run the service, including: Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting and infrastructure providers (such as Vercel for hosting, Neon for our database, and Upstash for caching). We also use privacy-conscious analytics and error-monitoring tools to keep the service reliable. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.

Data retention

We keep your account and resume data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your saved data or close your account at any time (see "Your rights"). We may retain limited records (such as billing records) where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure, and a limited set of analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR, UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, or the Australian Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jumproo.ai and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You can also manage email preferences via the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures (including encryption in transit and access controls) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and respond to incidents appropriately.

International transfers

We and our providers may process your data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Students & younger users

Jumproo is built for students and job seekers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under 18, please use Jumproo with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
